Five Years! Where has the time gone?A global pandemic and a cancer diagnosis were not part of my original business plan, but they would have happened whether I was freelance or still in corporate life. The difference being I was in control of how my business reacted to these challenges. In five years, I've helped 39 different clients and raised 222 invoices! More importantly I have retained my "why" and enjoy every minute of the work I do and the difference I make. A huge thank you to my business support network, customers, friends and family. The London Stock Exchange (LSEG) was the venue for the first in person BBFAW report launch since 2018. With 123 (82%) companies in the bottom two tiers (5 & 6) it is really important that this report is seen as a re-set. The methodology is significantly different to previous years and companies should not be seen as worsening on their committment to animal welfare. Whilst I know we can do better and need to push for more, change takes time to implement across complex supply chains.I look forward to seeing this progress, in next year's report.
