Weds May 22, 2024: Elizabeth is alarmed, Alexis is thrown for a loop, Dante issues a warning to Sonny, Ava gets key intel and Kristina makes an offer.
Tuesday’s GH recap: Finn Discovers His Father Passed Away, Michael Asks Dex if He Will Press Charges, and Dante Refuses to Protect Sonny
Finn paces his apartment as he holds his father’s cane and thinks about his father.
Violet arrives home from school after a half day. They embrace and Mary, Gretchen’s mother, exits.
Violet wants to take her bouquet out for a walk with Grandpa.
Finn says they can go for a walk after they have a talk.
He tells her Grandpa isn’t there.
He passed away last night. Violet looks startled.
He tells her that her granddad went to sleep and never woke up.
“That can happen?” She asks.
He says not to them but he was sick.
Finn wants her to think about them spending time together with him.
She doesn’t want to.
She wants her grandpa back and rushes to his room calling him.
Finn finds her in Gregory’s room.
She asks where he is and Finn says the paramedics took him away.
She cries that she didn’t get to say goodbye.
Finn hugs her, knowing if Grandpa knew he was going to leave them he’d have huge her.
Violet flashes back to having lunch with him. Finn calls life beautiful and sometimes unfair.
They say I love yous and cry together. He takes her back to the sofa and they talk about their sadness.
Violet has a lot of questions about what happens to Grandpa now. He fills her in on what a funeral is and that Gregory is with the angels.
Liz arrives and hugs Violet. Chase called her and she’s sorry.
Liz hugs Finn. Finn nods to the bottle of booze on the counter, indicating to Liz that he’s struggling.
They send the kid away and Liz can’t imagine how he’s feeling but thinks it’s obvious he’s been drinking.
She’ll take his daughter with her while he goes to a meeting.
Finn refuses. Liz wants to help but nothing can help what he’s feeling.
He thinks he has a right to deal with his pain in any way he wants. Liz says fine.
She can’t stop him but she won’t let him get drunk with “that little girl” in this apartment.
In the park, Dex tells Michael he hasn’t decided if he’ll turn Sonny in.
Michael says he and Krissy don’t want him to.
When Dex asks Joss’s advice she refuses.
Giving out advice hasn’t worked for her in the past.
Michael pleads with Dex.
Kristina’s already an emotional mess and is pregnant.
He worries it’s too much.
Dex asks when it’s too much for him.
Joss suddenly isn’t afraid to voice her opinion and sides with Michael.
She asks him not to file charges.
At home, Sonny tells Dante he left Dex alone and he betrayed him more by hiding behind a badge.
Sonny thinks he’s still trying to take him down.
Dante says no.
All he sees is that his father has a history of violence.
Dante’s looked the other way for a long time and finds it embarrassing not admitting who his father is and who he’s always been.
Sonny shakes his head. Dante’s done with it.
Too many are getting hurt and it’ll only get worse if Sony doesn’t fix it.
He tells his father to stay away from Dex.
Sonny thinks it’s cowardly but Dante tells him it’s smart and he’d better hope he doesn’t press charges.
“My own son has forsaken me,” Sonny says.
Dante says if that was true, he’d be in cuffs and taking him downtown now.
He’s done protecting him. He yells that he committed a crime and has to face the consequences. Sonny takes off.
In her condo, Alexis tells her she wants to talk to the board in person.
Alexis gets something Gregory gave her for luck.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Ned and Lois discuss Tracy and how much she likes to complain about her and Olivia.
They talk about how Gio will win her over with his love of music while outside, BLQ and Chase arrive.
Lois and Ned are surprised to see them.
Ned asks if their flight was canceled.
Later, once they’ve been told about Gregory’s passing, Lois hugs him.
He asks where Tracy is and learns she was headed for a ride.
He’ll go find her.
Ned walks him down while BLQ dries her tears. Lois can’t believe he’s gone.
“Someday wasn’t supposed to be now,” BLQ says. Lois thinks God has a plan.
Gregory died happy after being able to officiate the wedding. He was courageous.
BLQ calls him strong. They embrace and sit together as BLQ mourns for Chase’s sake.

At the airport, the final boarding call for Rome is announced as Chase and Brook Lynn talk about his father’s death.
Boarding closes and they snuggle.
In her Metro Court suite, Blaze tells Kristina she’s not like her father just as Blaze isn’t like her mother.
Krissy doesn’t know who he is anymore after seeing him attack Dex and scream the threats.
He’s a completely different person.
The only way to fix things is if Michael can convince Dex not to press charges.
Blaze hopes so since if she had to go to court to testify, it could cause havoc on her stress and pregnancy.
Kristina didn’t even consider that but Sonny can’t get away with this.
It isn’t right. She makes a call to someone asking them to come to her.
In court, Alexis is nervous.
Diane sees a person walk in and he looks familiar.
It’s Fergus Byrne (Lane Davies). Justice Dutton and Caldwell arrive.
Diane makes an appeal for Alexis’ disbarment and asks that she return to the bar and be able to practice law.
Fergus disputes this saying his brother Neil was a casualty of Ms Davis’ disregard for the law.
Alexis’ eyeballs widen.
Diane jumps up and tells the judge that Fergus’s brother was a factor in Alexis’ case.
Fergus says Neil was more than just a factor.
He’d be alive today if it weren’t for Alexis.
Alexis stands up and says she welcomes Fergus’ role here today.
He can have a front row seat to her pleading her case.
Sonny arrives home in a mood.
Ava’s been worrying about him and says Avery missed him this morning.
He’s quiet and she begs him to open up.
Sonny tells her Kristina “saw something, goto the wrong idea” and is one of the last people who believed in him.
He’s lost her. Sonny fills her in on the details of the beating and Jason stopping him.
Ava thinks Dex got the message but Sonny doubts that. Ava’s sorry.
Sonny’s voice catches that his little girl was afraid of him.
At the little cafe, Joss and Michael talk about how Sonny seemed to be having a good time at the wedding.
Joss was starting to feel lucky about having him as a step-father.
Michael says he used to be better at controlling his violence which is why they wanted Dex to protect him from himself.
Joss says Dex needs protection from Sonny now.
Michael asks if they’re reuniting.
She doesn’t know and hates terminally indecisive couples who break up and go out.
It reminds her of Mom and Sonny’s relationship. Not that Dex is like her dad. He’s becoming a cop now.
Michael thinks Dex applied to become a cop to show her he’s a good guy.
Joss says he really wants this and yeah, he’d like it if they got back together. She’s not sure she’s ready for that yet.
Dex arrives at Metro Court. Kristina’s shocked by his appearance and Blaze offers pain medication and ice but he says he already saw a doctor.
They talk about what they wanted to see with Sonny in the past.
Krissy knows Michael asked him not to press charges and she says he asked on her behalf.
She shouldn’t have asked. She’ll testify if Dex wants to pursue this with the cops.
