Tier List Criteria Explanation

Shows Which are Better Reward Picks

This tier list for the Boon-giving gods shows the recommended picks when at least two of them are the reward choices for the next Location.

We ranked the gods based on how useful their Boon effects can be regardless of the weapon you're using, like how their respective curses help clear Encounters faster or how their buffs improve gameplay experience.

Does Not Include Gods That Appear Randomly

Gods that do not appear as Location rewards or in Charon's shop, like Artemis and Icarus, are not included in the tier list as they only appear randomly during Encounters.

God	S Tier Ranking Explanation
Hera	・Hitch and the Cast passive Boon are amazing upgrades for clearing normal Encounters quickly. ・Born Gain gives almost infinite Magick that you can use to spam Omega Moves and Hex. ・Can directly upgrade the rarity and level of your current Boons.
Apollo	・Nova Strike and Nova Flourish Boons increases your Attack and Special's damage and attack range, respectively. ・Extra Dose can double your Attack damage and trigger other Attack effects that you have one more time, like Flame Strike or Fluid Gain. ・Daze adds a layer of protection by making enemies miss their attacks.
Aphrodite	・Flutter Strike works well with melee weapons as it requires targets to be nearby to activate. ・Reduces enemy damage with Weak that can be further decreased with Broken Resolve. ・Having 4 Air Boons and Wispy Wiles gives you an "auto-dodge" chance that works quite similar with Daze but with higher rate.
Hermes	・Can increase Attack and Special speed, increasing overall DPS. ・Can reduce Hex cost, allowing you to use them frequently that can be devastating if your Hex has already been upgraded several times. ・Also gives an "auto-dodge" Boon. Combine it with Daze from Apollo and Wispy Wiles from Aphrodite to become near untouchable.

A Tier - Generally Good

God	A Tier Ranking Explanation
Hestia	・Paired with a weapon that has decent attack speed like the Sister Blades, you can build up Scorch that will slowly whittle targets. ・The damage from Scorch can be consumed instantly with Fire Extinguisher.
Demeter	・Freeze effects stops enemies completely. This is one of the few ways to immobilize Armored foes without the need to break their Armor. ・The Freeze effect can be extended with Cold Storage. ・Cyclones can slow down enemy projectiles. ・Having Coarse Grit drastically reduces the damage you can receive from Bosses.
Chaos	・Can give huge damage boosts to Attack, Special, and Cast. ・Can increase Omega move channel speed as well as movement and Sprint speed. ・Can restore a significant of Life after each Location or give passive Magick regeneration.
Selene	・Makes use of the Magick that you consume, best for builds that revolves around Omega Moves. ・Can be a huge game changer especially the Hexes that grant the Impervious status. ・Some Path of Stars upgrades grants bonus damage and other buffs while charging the Hex.

B Tier - Situational

God	B Tier Ranking Explanation
Poseidon	・The knockback effect from his Boons can be difficult to use in melee weapons. ・However, it works wonders with ranged weapons like the Umbral Flames as it can maintain a gap between enemies. ・Double Up, Sunken Treasure, and Ocean's Bounty are great for farming resources.
Hephaestus	・Blast effects have long cooldown. ・Specializes in survivability and long Encounters, making his Boons very helpful in early to midgame. ・Mint Condition gives gradually increases in value the more upgrades you have, as it is possible to almost clear an Encounter or take a huge chunk off the boss' health before it wears off.

C Tier - Hard to Utilize

God	C Tier Ranking Explanation
Zeus	・Without the Toasting Fork Boon, the Blitz effect is difficult to trigger especially near the beginning of the run where you have almost no decent source of damage. ・Works well with the Moonstone Axe as it can reach the Blitz's required damage with only a few swings. ・Divine Vengeance is good for tanky builds or slow weapons like the Moonstone Axe.
